High quality and small group dives, tailor-made to respect the environment and the animals!
Follow me... and don't forget to breathe!
Let's dive into the underwater world of Rangiroa, French Polynesia!
Exploration dives
In small groups of no more than 5, I'll take you diving by private boat, at times to suit you, off the beaten track of Rangiroa's dive centers.
Training
I offer training in private lessons or in private groups, for a serious and personalized follow-up. PADI, SSI, TDI, ANMP and CCR Recycleur.
Tek Polynesia
Baptism, training, exploration... I'll take you rebreather diving (CCR rEvo)! More time underwater, more chances to get up close and personal with animals, without disturbing them... You'll fall under the spell of technical diving!
Diving in Rangiroa
Tiputa pass
I arrived on the island in 2021 after leaving Corsica, I instantly fell in love with the Tiputa pass in Rangiroa, French Polynesia.
Dolphins, grey sharks, tiger sharks, hammerheads, white tips, manta rays, dolphins, eagle rays, marlins, turtles, barracudas and tropical fish of all kinds...
Each dive is different from the last. Depending on the tides, the diving conditions evolve throughout the day, changing the habits of the marine fauna.
That's why we decide on the dive schedule together, depending on the current. Do you like hard dives? Or do you prefer a more leisurely dive? We'll arrange it! Are you here for the dolphins? Or sharks? No problem, I adapt.
No risk of being stuck in the same group as beginners when you want to dive deep. Similarly, there's no risk of being pressured by more advanced divers if you're stressed at the launch and like to take your time descending.
I adapt to your needs and desires.

A private instructor
The advantage of a small structure
Over the years, Rangiroa has seen a proliferation of diving clubs. The beauty of the site attracts the curious, and the Tiputa pass sees over 300 divers a day in high season. In these conditions, it's difficult for the clubs to offer a personalized experience to suit everyone's desires.
That's why I decided to work as a freelance with Dive With Jean: to reconnect with people. I want to offer travelers the best experience possible, while respecting the animals, the environment and everyone's safety.
Encounters are not only with marine life, it is also the bonds I forge with each of my divers!
Technical diving: Tek Polynesia
Since 2024, I've been an instructor for rebreather dives. Thanks to the rEvo closed circuit rebreather (CCR), the air breathed in is recycled. This means you can stay underwater longer, decompress less and, above all, make less noise. Indeed, underwater, sharks, fish and other animals shy away from us because they're afraid of the bubbles and noise we make.
Diving on a rebreather means diving in silence and going unnoticed. You'll be able to get much closer to the animals. Baptisms, training courses, exploration - I'm here to help. Try it and you'll love it!
People think sharks are dangerous.
In fact, they're more afraid of us than we are of them!
About
Jean Plongeur
I grew up between northern France and Belgium, where I dived for the first time at the age of 11. After a difficult childhood due to health problems, diving offered me a space of calm and serenity where I could finally be myself. In 2015, I went campaigning as a diver alongside the Sea Shepherd association, where I became permanently vegan.
By becoming a diving instructor, I took my revenge on life and succeeded in doing what many thought I couldn't do. It was through my involvement with an association that helps sick children to dive that I arrived in French Polynesia in 2021.
Today, I particularly enjoy first dives and trainings. Seeing the smile on someone's face when they come out of the water for the first time, or helping someone who doesn't think they can dive to overcome their fear... It is priceless and that's what makes me want to pursue this passion day after day.
Each encounter is unique
